When a room is not provided to you at the AFHT hotel within 30 minutes of arrival.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:
YOU MUST CALL CMS AND HAVE YOUR REST ADJUSTED TO THE TIME YOU ARRIVED IN ROOM

Time room was requested and received
Reason no rooms were available or had to get a new room or if it was deemed to not constitute "suitable lodging" - (see suitable lodging claim page).
REQUIRED CLAIM LANGUAGE:
“Claiming basic day penalty for waiting for a hotel room in excess of 30 (thirty) minutes at my away from home terminal. I was called on duty for the__ (train)___ at ____ hrs on __/__/__. I tied up at ____ hrs at __circ-7__ and contacted the van for transport at _____hrs. At _____ hrs we arrived at the lodging facility provided by the carrier and requested a room. Front desk attendant ____________ said there were no rooms available because _____(reason no room was available or there was delay getting a suitable room)___. I finally received a room at ______ hrs and my rest was adjusted to ______ hrs. Claiming basic day penalty account waiting for a hotel room in excess of 30 minutes at my away from home terminal.”
