Off-District
The claim:
When instructed to go off district. Off district means having control of the entire train beyond switching limits.
Switching Limits:
North Platte - East: 282.01 West: 292.00
Cheyenne - East: 507.27 West: 511.81
Rawlins - East: 676.50 West: 685.50
Green River - East: 814.15 West: 818.49
Make sure the FRA portion of the tie-up is completed fully with the dates, times, and locations of what you did
EXAMPLE: Called on duty for 0200 hours on 12/02/24 for the MNPRO 01 at wx510. After coming on duty, the dispatcher ordered you to go to MP 506 to get the train. At 0230 hours, you left the switching limits. At 0235 you took control of the train at MP 506. At 0300 you renetd the switching limits. Tied up at wx683 at 1330 hours.
Shift timeline:
0200 on 12/02/24 Transport - start location of wx510.
0230 on 12/02/24 Transport - start location of MP 507.27.
0235 on 12/02/24 MNPRO 01 - start location of MP 506.0.
0300 on 12/02/24 MNPRO 01 - start location of 507.27.
Tie-up at wx683 at 1330.
Claim must be submitted on working timeslip under the available claims. See the tie-up assistance for how to do that. If the half has already closed, and the timeslip shows "DONE" on the timeslip inquiry page, submit it as a nonservice claim and add : "Adjusting the timeslip could not be completed as the pay period has been closed" to the beginning of the below claim language.
Required Documentation:
A complete copy of your federal tie-up showing the MP location you took control, or relinquished control of the train with the other crew.
Name of Company officer who ordered you to go off district.
